Artificial Grass Pitch (AGP)
Training Facility Information
Yeovil Artificial Grass Pitch (AGP) opened in 2013 for use to the general public and to provide training and matches for Yeovil and Sherborne Hockey Club. The AGP offers the next generation of sand dressed synthetic turf facility which complies with Federation of International Hockey and England Hockey Standards.
The AGP comprises:
- 8 floodlight columns of both 550 and 350 voltage lighting
- Net dividers of third, half and full pitch
- Full scale Hockey dimensions in accordance with England Hockey
- Suitable for small sided or large sided football with accompanying five a side, seven a side and nine a side goals
- Additional warm up area with floodlights, 1 Hockey goal and 2 seven a-side football goals which is suitable for Hockey goal keeper training and 1 v 1 practice, plus youth football training sessions and can also be set up for Mini tennis with 4 small courts marked out, nets, balls and rackets all available for purchase from the sports kiosk.
- There is also a terraced spectator area and covered home / away dug-outs

Yeovil and Sherborne Hockey Club Information
Since our AGP opened in 2013 Yeovil and Sherborne Hockey club have used the facility as their home facility for all club training and match day fixtures.
Training nights are as follows:
Tuesdays - Women's training 18:30-21:30
Wednesdays Men's Training 19:00-21:30
Thursdays Junior Training 18:15- 20:45
Saturdays Junior training 8:45-9:45
Match day Fixtures: Saturdays from 10:15 - 15:15 (3 in total)

As part of our long standing relationship with YSHC, we are delighted to announce the renewal of our shared community user agreement for another 10 years to ensure we remain the home of YSHC for match day fixtures and training. Award-winning facility
In November 2022, as recognition for their outstanding work in maintaining and providing a high quality national standard artificial grass pitch, our grounds team were awarded Best managed artificial surface of the year award at the Grounds Management Association ceremony, ensuring we are fully committed to providing award- winning quality sports facilities to all our customers.
In 2023 we are delighted to announce that our grounds team were once again winners of the GMA best managed artificial surface of the year. We are incredibly proud of their achievement and feel extremely thankful to all those who support and contribute to the work they provide, as well as being able to provide such a high quality sports playing surface to all our customers.

Children’s birthdays/casual play during school holidays
We also now offer causal use of the warm up area and main AGP during school holidays and for birthday parties in combination with our community space. Please see our Fee's and charges for more info.
